A fisherman's dream part 2

The catch was horrible;only five fishes had revealed themselves. The sun was setting soon, and it was time to retire back to land.He ,once again, dragged his boat up to sand, and bound it to the wild splinters of rock using home-made rope.As he started to walk, the sun-set had flashed a shadow across the beach and across his face, puzzling him.He turned...

A woman;a distinct silhouette of a woman stood a distance away, apparently staring straight at sea.Chuck heart started to race,he had not even seen her face yet, but,it was another person;other than himself. He couldn't remember the last time he saw the figure of another human;perhaps for a decade or so.He dropped his entire load and ran.He ran towards the figure, and pumelled through the sand,he had to catch up with her,he had to see her face. And he stopped a few metres to her left her.She still hadn't noticed him.Her head turned to the sea,his head turned to her.He took in a deep gulp of breathe, and opened his mouth,"Excuse m...."Before he could finish, the lady turned around.her face was still silhouetted, and thankfully for Chuck, she appeared to understand. So she slowly turned to face her left, forcing Chuck to align with her.And at a right angle to the sea,he looked up at her.At least half her face was lighted, and the other half silhouetted.

He saw her again that night,in his dreams. He saw himself skipping stones by the sea;he managed to skip a stone on 20 impacts, and she was impressed. He saw himself, walking down the beach with her, holding hands, talking about their lives.Gretta! Her name was Gretta.Chuck's heart beats faster upon hearing that name, even if it came from his own voice. And finally...The kiss;as the sunset had set the moment of truth,he stared straight at her.The heads of two silhouetted lovers nearing and about to come into contact, with the sea as the witness. He leaned forward;towards Gretta's lips.He braced for impact, for the clash of the sun and the moon...

Bang!!!Once again he found himself on the ground;facing the thatch roof.He pulled himself up.His back hurt...his head hurt..., his heart...it hurt...more than the other hurts put together.

He snatched his net and raced out the door, down the cliff's slopes, and into his boat.He took no delay;he paddled out to sea to harvest his fishes, and kept in mind, how much he was looking forward to spotting her,by chance, strolling along the sandy beaches, enjoying the warm rays of sunlight.
